Parent Pre-Season Reminders
Spring 2010 Girls Lacrosse
Introduction:
Your daughter has expressed interest in becoming a part of the Spring 2010 Springbrook Girls Lacrosse Team. This sheet provides a brief summary of the requirements each player must meet in order to be eligible for tryouts on Saturday, February 27th.
Pre-Season Tryout Requirements:
1. Paperwork:
Each player must turn in completed forms before 9am on Saturday, February 27th in order to be eligible for tryouts. Forms include: Health Physical, Parent Permission Sheet, Transportation Sheet, and Medical Emergency Card. *All athletes are also expected to pay a one time ECA fee of $30. This only applies to you if this is the first sport your child has participated in this year.
2. Equipment:
Each player must have the appropriate equipment to participate in the activities during tryouts. Mandatory equipment items include: Girls Lacrosse Stick, Protective Goggles, Mouth guard, Cleats, and Running Shoes.
*If there is any concern with the ordering, purchasing, or funding of equipment, please contact the Head Coach immediately.
3. Commitment:
Upon making the team, each player will be expected to attend ALL of the following events during the season: (Players must inform the Head Coach prior to missing any of the following events)
Practices: (Minimum 2 hours after school)
Games: (Two to three per week)
Film Review/Chalk Talk: (Max 2 hours per week)
Team Dinners: (5 or 6 total per season)
Fundraising: (Each player must contribute time as well as help raise funds for the Lacrosse Program on assigned days)
*Parent obligations will include driving players to and from home and away games, hosting team dinners, providing snacks on game days, attending home and away games, assisting with fundraising events, announcing, and scorekeeping at home games.
